Peña Ganchegui Award 2017

The exhibition illustrates the work of the candidates selected as finalists by the jury of the Peña Ganchegui Award for Young Basque Architecture.

The award is held every two years for architects who graduated less than 10 years ago and who, individually or collectively, carry out their professional work in the Basque Country or have graduated from a University from this region.

It is awarded to recognise a young architectural trajectory and, at the same time, to boost a career with an emerging projection, giving visibility to works that, as well as being representative of an impeccable professional practice, also contribute to promote, develop and consolidate our architectural culture. Therefore, rather than being granted for a specific piece, it is awarded for a collection of works of diverse nature.

The finalists not only receive visibility thanks to their work being exhibited, but they will also participate in talks and/or guided visits to the exhibition.
