Ignacio Quemada - Donostia/San Sebastián

Born in Logroño (La Rioja, Spain) in 1963. Graduated from the Higher School of Architecture of the Technical University of Madrid in 1989.
Collaborator with different studios, first in Spain and then in the USA, he completed his education working for Rafael Moneo, participating in works such as the San Sebastian Kursaal and the Modern Art and Architecture Museum in Stockholm, amongst others.

He set up his own studio in San Sebastian in 1999. His most noteworthy built work includes the Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y del Vino (Grapevine and Wine Sciences Institute), the Campo Viejo winery and the Tuc Tuc headquarters, in La Rioja, Nursery School and Apartments for the elderly and day centre, in Zarautz, Apartments for young people in the Finca Montpellier in San Sebastian, etc.

He is a lecturer in the Master's Degree on Light Façades at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), he has given talks in universities (Palermo, Technical University of Madrid, Salamanca, Cantabria, La Rioja, San Sebastian, etc.) and professional associations of architects (Almería, La Rioja, Tarragona, Lugo, etc.) and has participated as a speaker at different courses and seminars.
